Adriano was celebrating is mothers birthday in Rio de Janeiro on Monday night and failed to catch a flight back to São Paulo in time for Tuesday’s training session.
The former Roma forward met with the Corinthians board on Thursday in which he issued an apology and promised he would now be more commited to the club.
”Adriano apologised for his failure and said he will be even more committed and that it wouldn’t happen again,” Andrade said.
”He said he will train even harder than he use to and will try to get a place in the team.”
”I wanted to hear from him about what he wants for his future in relation to Corinthians and he told us with every single word that his future is at Corinthians. He wants to stay at Corinthians.”
Adriano’s contract with Corinthians expires in June.
