Following the revelations that coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo has been monitoring CCTV of his stars activities, discovering a breach of team policies as Ronaldinho brought a female companion back to his room, it is now reported that the pair are barely on speaking terms.
Ronaldinho missed Wednesday training in Potosi with a supposed bout of diarrhoea, which has of course raised eyebrows considering the star’s current relationship with the manager.
Flamengo’s season is just days from kick-off, with the Rubro-Negro kicking off both their State Championships and Libertadores campaigns in the next seven days, yet it already seems likely that in the coming weeks either Vanderlei Luxemburgo or Ronaldinho is going to lose this titanic battle of egos.
Another player who looks set to depart is defender Alex Silva, left out of Flamengo’s travelling party after skipping training last week, in the latest of the club’s disciplinary problems.
