The Lique 1 outfit seemed to have agreed a deal with AC Milan for Pato last week, but negotiations eventually broke down when the 22-year old announced he wanted to stay at the San Siro.
However Ancelotti has now revealed PSG’s pursuit to sign the striker is only put on hold for January.
”The Pato strory is quite bizarre. There are certain things going on we don’t know about. The deal is dead for January, but only for January,” the former Chelsea boss said.
Meanwhile PSG have also been strongly linked with a move for former world player of the year Kaká, and Ancelotti believes the Real Madrid midfielder might become available in the summer transfer window.
”Kaká could be available in June. He struggled with injuries at Madrid and faces stiff competition for places. He’s a still a great player though.”
