Danilo has arrived in Porto, following his €13 million switch from the Brazilian club, yet Santos are refusing to release his registration until additional compensation is agreed – as they believe he should remain in Brazil until the summer under the terms of the deal.

“The player has worked out some of the paperwork, but there are still certain issues to resolve, as well as the understanding between Porto and Santos,” said Pablo Tomaduz, one of the player’s two agents.

“Fucile wants to play and Santos is one of the best clubs in the world. Therefore, has no problem in transferring himself there.”

Lancenet! report that the player would join on a year-long loan, in exchange for the release of Danilo to join Porto now, rather than the summer deal Santos believes was agreed.
