The Paulista giants had tried to sign the Argentine striker on a permanent contract last summer and reportedly had a £35 million offer rejected.

"We are interested in Tevez because he is a great player. We will contact City this month our wish is that they let him go on loan," Andrade said in an interview with SporTV.

City have yet to confirm Tevez" market value, but Andrade believes he"s no longer worth half the amount they offered last July.

"City"s mistake was that they did not accept [our £35m bid], they missed out on a great opportunity."

"Nowadays, they will not be able to get half of what was offered back then."
