Bruno Cortês was one of the highlights for Botafogo in the 2011 Brasileirão championship.

His impressive performances with the Carioca club had caught the eye of some of the big clubs in Europe, with the likes of Napoli, PSG and Sevilla all being linked with twenty four year old.

Cortês believes by moving to São Paulo he has a chance to win titles.

”It’s a great joy to come to São Paulo. The team is very qualified and the directors always puts together a team to become champions,” the defender told the clubs official website.

The defender is also hoping to return to the Brazilian national team having won his first cap against Argentina in September.

”My goal is to work hard to be in (São Paulo’s) starting line up, to get back in the Seleção and to win titles.”
