Paulo Henrique Ganso and the rest of the Santos squad arrived back in Brazil from Japan on Tuesday morning, after their Club World Cup final defeat against Barcelona.

Upon arrival, the midfielder surprised waiting journalists by revealing that he had only signed a pre-contract with the DIS group and that previous declarations did not mean that the deal was finalised.

The Brazilian international only recently stated that he had sold the part of his contract that he had full control over to the investment group, but has now changed his story after Santos revealed that no deal could have been possible without the clubs consent.

“The sale has still not been completed, it’s something which still needs to be agreed with Santos, it was not really a sale, more a pre-agreement,” Ganso said.

”But now I need to sit down with Santos to define everything.”

Ganso has a contract with Santos that runs until 2015 and the player insisted he wants to play for the club in 2012 as it’s their centennial year.
