“In Brazil, Neymar is the best striker,” said the ex-Lyon striker. “He is a boy playing with a lot of personality.
“He has a heart the size of the world and an absurd simplicity. This kid is a phenomenon!”
As for the future of the young star, Fred was clear that although he is pleased that Neymar will remain in Brazil for the time being, he sees the Santos man’s future in Europe.
“Neymar will be the “face” of the 2014 World Cup. It is great that he has stayed in Brazil.
“I know that one day he will leave and I really want to see him playing with the likes of Xavi and Messi. He would do very well at Barcelona.”
