The Argentine midfielder has revealed he won’t be listening to any offers from other clubs until the end of the season with his sole focus being on helping keep Cruzeiro in Brazil’s Serie A.

Cruzeiro currently live in a delicate situation in the Brazilian championship. With a one point advantage, the Mineiro club just one place above the relegation zone with just two games to go.

Despite Cruzeiro’s poor season, midfielder, Walter Montillo, continues to catch the eye of other teams in South America, with speculation mounting up that Montillo is planning a move away from the Minas Gerais club.

The Argentine, however, ensures that he won’t be listening to any proposals and won listen to any until the 4th of December (when the Brazilian champions ends)

“I’ve talked with my agent and I told him, if he has something, then to not tell me until the championship ends. I find it important to respect the fans and to respect my teammates, ” said Cruzeiro player, in an interview with ESPN Radio Estadao.

“I think for me it’s not good for me to talk about all this speculation about of other teams, because I’m a Cruzeiro player, and we have two important games for the club, I can’t be thinking about next year, “he continued.

Cruzeiro’s next game is an away trip to Fortaleza, where they’ll face fellow relegation strugglers, Ceara, who sit just one point behind them in the relegation zone.
