Following several phone discussions with various club officials, Assistant Director of Football João Paulo de Jesus Lopes will attempt to negotiate in person during his current trip to Brazil.
The publication does admit however that a deal is looking unlikely, with the player contracted until 2014 and as yet, showing only limited interest in a move to São Paulo.
The club continue to look into the possibility of Nilmar resuming his partnership with Luis Fabiano next campaign.
