With the 2-0 win over the Egyptians being Brazil’s last fixture of the year, the Selecao head coach assesed the performance of his players through out the year.

”In the first half we found it difficult, we were made to work. In the second half we were a lot better,” he said. ”Looking back, it’s been a great year, we’ve continued to grow and have finished the year well with this game. Gradually, we’ll be adding in area’s we need improving, resolving the tactical issues.”

The Selecao captain, Thiago Silva also spoke to the press after the game, convinced Brazil will be even better in 2012.

”I believe next year we’ll get better,” he said. ”We have a much better rapport, playing with the ball more, knowing where each other is on the pitch. I’ve got no doubt we’ll be much better in 2012.”

Brazil are scheduled to meet Egypt again in February (2012). Whilst the location of the game is yet to be confirmed by the CBF, the FIFA website confirms the tie will be played in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
