After almost three years, the Selecao will once again return to play the beautiful game on Qatari soil, since their 1-0 win over England in the Khalifa stadium, Doha.

This time, Brazil will come up against the 2010 African Cup of Nations champions, Egypt. The two sides previous meeting was in 2009, at the Confederations Cup in South Africa. The game saw seven goals, with Brazil clinching a 4-3 victory.

Speaking ahead of Monday’s international friendly, Barcelona wing back, Daniel Alves admits Brazil are wary of their Egyptian opponents.

”It will not be easy. I don’t know much about their team, but I know it’s evolving. It’ll be a dangerous game.’’

Despite the Selecao missing a number of key players, such as Neymar and Ronaldinho, Alves still feels the squad is strong.

”All the players who are here are great, and their important for their clubs,’’ he said. ”We need to have respect, because this is the Brazilian squad.”

Brazil kick off their game against the Egyptians this Monday, 17:00 GMT, at the Al Rayyan Stadium in the Qatari capital, Doha.
