Flamengo’s 5-1 thrashing against Cruzeiro on Sunday fired them straight back in the title race. The 2009 champions now sit fifth in the table and are only three points behind league leaders Corinthians.
Ronaldinho told the press, ”Now we can dream, but keeping our feet on the ground. If the other teams stumble we will be ready to take advantage. We heard the result come in over the tanoid. When the Flamengo fans are behind the team, every one knows what happens.”
Mengão will now be hoping title rivals, Corinthians, Vasco, Fluminense and Botafogo slip up so they can move a step closer to winning their seventh Brasileirão title.
