After being thrashed by Flamengo 5-1 and entering the relegation zone, Cruzeiro’s nightmare seems to have no end. The Minas side might have to go in to their final five games with out their key player Walter Montillo.
The Argentine pulled up during the game against Flamengo complaining of feeling pains in his left calf.
Coach Mancini said after the game ”we dont know the exact extent of the injury. From what Montillo has told us, he’s not optimistic about his chances of playing in the last sequence of games, he might be able play the last two games.”
Montillo will now under go an MRI scan on Monday. The Argentine is almost certain to miss out on Cruzeiro’s next game, when they face Internacional at home.
