The 20 year old was an Under 20s World Cup winner with Brazil this year, catching the eye of Udinese after his impressive displays for country and club.
Udinese managed to agree a deal with Palmeiras and private football investment fund DIS Esporte, who own 40% of Silva’s economical rights (the other 60% belonging to Palmeiras).
Silva will continue to play for Palmeiras for the remainer of the Brasileirão season, then once the European transfer window re-opens in January, the deal can be finalised.
