“I have to enjoy ]playing so much] while I’m still young,” said the 19-year-old. “I have to play; I always want to be on the field for Santos, in every game.”
Neymar is an undisputed fan favourite at the Vila Belmiro and was quick to praise the fans for their support.
“I am very happy that I’ve won so much in so little time and I thank the fans, not only of Santos, for their affection.”
Neymar also spoke of the chance to play the final of the 2014 World Cup at the Maracana, the only time it is possible for Mano Menezes’ side to play in the historic arena.
“I really want to play in the final. The Maracana stadium is beautiful and there is plenty of room for us attackers to move and get space for shots.”
