Cruzeiro president Gilvan de Pinho Tavares dismissed the possibility of a deal on Montillo earlier, stating that the club would not consider Corinthians player exchange offer.
“He is not available for six million plus the whole Corinthians team even, we will not negotiate on Montillo”
Douglas is a favourite at Corinthians having won a Second Division title and the Paulista state title in his two year spell at the Pacaembu in 2008-09.
However, with a contract at Grêmio only until December 2012, Douglas may come cheaper than other candidates.
