The partnership is seen as significant as it creates the first online channel dedicated exclusively to a Brazilian football club and is available on a pay-per-view (PPV) subscription basis. Viewers from around the world will be able to tune in on ustream.tv/tvcorinthians (Brazil), ustream.tv/TVCorinthians-International (worldwide) and on the Corinthians Facebook page, which currently has more than 1.1 million fans. Coverage will include games, practice sessions, interviews and other content.

The live video of the broadcast will be offered at US$39.95 for 12 months or $4.95 for one month on the global channel (Brazilian fans) at Ustream.tv/tvcorinthians and $79.95 for 12 months or $9.95 for one month (worldwide fans) at ustream.tv/TVCorinthians-International. Fans will also be able to interact with other viewers by posting comments and questions via Ustream’s social stream and chat feature.

Corinthians is one of Brazil’s most popular clubs and is said to have over 30 million fans across the world. Following Wednesday’s shock  2-0 defeat to Botafogo, the Sao Paulo outfit stands top of the Campeonato Brasileiro, ahead of Vasco da Gama on goal difference.
