“I have dreamed about facing Barcelona in the final of the Club World Cup," says the player who turns 22 this week. “I hope we reach the final."

Ganso, who has been striken by injury in recent times for the third time in just eighteen months was unwilling to commit to signing a new Santos deal in January, however indicated he will at least remain with the club for their centenary year in 2012.

“There is a chance [of a renewal]. The president (of Santos, Luis Alvaro Ribeiro) came to talk to me recently, but said it was not the time.

“Santos are preparing for the World Cup, so I think the correct time is in January."

“I"m sure I"ll be there [next year] because I have a contract until 2015. It is the centenary year, a historic year for the club and I want to be present.

“When to leave? I will make this decision much later. I am just thinking about returning first."
