São Paulo take on Flamengo at the Morumbi, as the Paulista side look to maintain their title charge. Crucially for their title hopes, the 3rd placed side can also welcome back Luis Fabiano with open arms for the closing weeks of the season.

Conversely, Vanderlei Luxemburgo’s Flamengo are looking to re-ignite their season, after a recent run of dire form that has seen the Carioca side slip out of title contention.

Now in 6th, Flamengo need a win to realistically retain title hopes, but come across a São Paulo side in high spirits.

Prodigious talent Lucas will look to carry over his impressive Brazil form into this evening’s encounter (16.00 Brasilia/20.00 London), whilst São Paulo also welcome back Casemiro into the midfield. Ivan Piris misses out at right back, with the midfielder Wellington likely to deputise.

Ronaldinho will be on the pitch, but for once the attention will be firmly fixed elsewhere as Brazilian eyes examine the potential impact of Luis Fabiano on the title race.
