The Seleção have played two friendlies list the rankings were last released. They beat Ghana 1-0 before playing out a goalless draw with Argentina, but nonetheless have fallen due to many other teams playing competitive games.
It is the second consecutive month that Mano Menezes’ side have gone down in the list, and everyone involved with the national team will hope for stronger displays in the upcoming fixtures to help improve Brazil’s ranking.
World champions Spain have replaced the Netherlands at the top of the list, while 2011 Copa America winners Uruguay are now up to fourth. Portugal and Italy have both moved ahead of Brazil, but England have dropped to eighth.
