The young striker is a target for both of the Spanish giants, and reports in Brazil claim that a deal has been agreed for him to join Barcelona in January 2013.
Speaking to Radio Mana Mana, his father, Neymar da Silva Santos, said: “Neymar wants to stay at Santos until April of 2012, when the club’s centenary takes place.
“My son wants to play in the Club World Cup with his teammates and then stay on until the centenary. In this transfer window, the club did not want to sell him and he did not want to leave.
“Neymar would like to play for Real Madrid or Barcelona. It would be the dream of any player, but right now he wants to honour his contract.
“When he decides to go, he will only do it to write history for another side,” he concluded.
