The 29-year-old has been the subject of intense transfer speculation all summer, but Real coach Jose Mourinho said in his pre-match press conference that he would be included in the squad.
“Kaka has worked hard during pre-season and has not missed one training session,” said Mourinho. “However, he did not play in all of our friendly matches and therefore needs time. He will start on the bench.”
Marcelo is likely to start for Real when they visit Zaragoza, as they look to get their league campaign underway with a victory.
