Folha de S. Paulo reports that Blatter was disappointed with Brazil’s performance against Germany last Wednesday, as the Seleção slipped to a 3-2 defeat in Stuttgart.
Sources close to Blatter revealed that the FIFA chief hoped it was just a passing phase for the five times World Cup winners, as a strong display from the hosts in 2014 is key to strong local interest in the tournament.
Brazil have come in for much criticism recently, having performed poorly at the Copa America and still yet to beat a top international side under Mano Menezes.
