33-year-old Liedson underwent knee surgery in July and was expected to be missing for a month. However, Gazeta Esportiva reports that the forward returned to training yesterday and now could feature against Ceara.
Tonight’s game away to Santos is likely to come to soon for him, but he is reportedly feeling no pain in his knee and has responded well to the surgery. He has shown speedy signs of recovery and could soon be ready to play again.
His teammate Adriano is still not yet training with the first team, instead working on his strength and speed. The former Internazionale striker is expected to be fit to play again at the end of the August.
