Real are one of the favourites to secure Neymar’s signature this summer, but Ramalho told television channel Sports Interactive: “I am a little afraid of Neymar at Real Madrid. You see what happened there with Kaka.
“I do not know if Jose Mourinho will give him the same freedom on the pitch that he gets at Santos. Mourinho’s style is less about technical ability, and more tactical,” he continued.
Instead, the 55-year-old advised the young striker to join Real’s biggest rivals: “If you had to name a team he should choose, it would be Barcelona. Imagine Messi and Neymar together.
“But hopefully he will not go there before the end of the year!” he concluded, in reference to a potential meeting between Santos and Barca in the FIFA Club World Cup in December.
