“Not using the Morumbi is absurd, the stadium is there, there are just a few changes that need to be made, it will take too much time to build a new one,” Socrates said.
Despite having supported the World Cup project for Brazil, Socrates believes that the lake of infrastructure will create chaos.
“We will be ashamed. It will be the worst World Cup ever. Imagine being Chinese and following your team, one day you will be in Manaus and the following day you will be in the south,” he said.
