Sambafoot reported yesterday that Kaka was determined to prove himself at the Bernabeu, and now the Brazilian midfielder has moved to cool any rumours linking him with a move to the San Siro, where he previously played for Inter"s arch-rivals AC Milan.

It was Leonardo who recommended Kaka to Milan when the latter was playing for São Paulo, but Kaka told Jornal da Tarde: “I have a great relationship with Leo, everyone knows that. When I refused an offer from Manchester City [in January 2009], he was the first to come to my house to support me and he said he was happy with my decision.

“He has never sounded me out about playing for Inter because I have never left that door open. Every time we speak I say I want to triumph at Real Madrid, and he says that is what I should do. Leo knows I don"t want to leave.

“Frankly, my wish is to stay. Before I came to Brazil [for the summer break], Jose Mourinho and the bosses at Madrid told me to spend a quiet holiday ahead of the pre-season. They knew there would be a lot of speculation because there have been rumours ever since I arrived at Real. But I really want to stay and I will," he concluded.
