Right back Maicon settled Brazilian nerves with a well taken goal to win 2-1 against North Korea in Johannesburg.

Brazil doubled the lead with 18 minutes left when Robinho slid a perfect ball for Elano to hit home. North Korea gave Brazil a much harder game than they were expecting and Kim Jong-Hun’s side got a goal when Ji Yun-nam fired in superbly in the closing stages.

Brazil deserved the victory for their dominance in possession, especially in the second half, but North Korea’s previously unknown players can showed that they are no pusher overs.

“It wasn’t our best match but at least we got the win, that’s what matters now,” Robinho said after the game.
