São Paulo vice-president of football Ataíde Gil Guerreiro, has affirmed that he"s received confirmation from coach Juan Carlos Osório that he will stay at the club.
Osório has a contract with Tricolor until 2016 December and had openly admitted his desire to coach the Mexican national team, but Ataíde says there"s no proposal from Mexico. He told SporTV: “I assure you, he told me and I have to believe in his words, that he will continue at São Paulo. He told me face-to-face that he has no proposal from Mexico. And when he has any proposal, I will be the first to be reported. He did not inform me anything. There is nothing that makes me think he will leave São Paulo."
He added: “He conducted a bad situation. As he"s confirmed to me that he will stay, I think he will stay. I do not understand why he has a word with me and another with you, the media. After the meeting with you [media] on Friday, he told me not to worry as he"s staying at São Paulo."
