Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdés has lauded Ronaldinho, describing the forward as the "biggest talent" he has ever seen play in his career.

The 32-year-old Brazilian, who is currently playing for Brasileirão outfit Atlético Mineiro, spent five years at the Camp Nou between 2003 and 2008, helping the club win two La Liga titles and one Champions League crown, among other trophies.

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi is widely considered to be one of the best footballers in the history of the game, but Valdés seemingly regards Ronaldinho as a better player than the Argentina international.

"I have always said that ‘Rony" changed the club"s history when he played at Barça," the Spaniard told Terra TV. “He was the leader of that team which changed [our] history.

"We had not won any title for many years. He arrived and powered Barcelona to become a club known worldwide. And that alone is a reason to thank him.

"I would say he is the biggest talent I have seen in the dressing room. He was always doing new things."
