In January, Flamengo reached an agreement with Al Hilal to acquire 10% of Thiago Neves’ economic rights and were then allowed to take the midfielder on loan until the 31st December 2011.
The Arabian club also set Flamengo a deadline, giving the Carioca club the priority to purchase the remaining 90% of Thiago’s economic right’s, which lasted until the 31st November, 2011.
Thiago Neves’ agent has now revealed, Al Hilal has already accepted Flamengo’s offer which they submitted in time, but just need to reach an agreement on how the Rubro Negro club will pay the €8 million asking price.
”It’s all pretty much resolved, every thing’s under control,” Rebello told
”The values have been slightly adjusted. All that needs to be defined is the payment method and the length of the contract, which will be about be three or four years. Thiago will become a Flamengo player for the coming years,” Rabello guaranteed.
Flamego are reportedly planning to use part of the €16 million they’ll receive from TV rights.
