While it is only in eleventh place in the Premier League, Wolverhampton has not abandoned its dream of Europe. The English club is only 6 points away from 6th place, the last qualifying ticket for a European competition. To reduce this distance between now and the end of the season, the Wolves want to strengthen themselves during this winter transfer window.

The ideal profile for Wolverhampton

And according to information from transfer window specialist Ekrem Konur, it is Brazilian striker Yuri Alberto who should arrive from Corinthians. Only 22 years old, the player already has a selection with the Seleção and solid experience of European football, having played twice for Zenit Saint Petersburg in the past.
Under contract with Corinthians until December 2027, Yuri Alberto has a promising offensive profile which Wolves may lack. With his speed and finishing qualities, he could add value to the English attack in the race for Europe. It remains to be seen whether the club will manage to complete his signing before the end of the transfer window this Thursday.
With such offensive reinforcement, Wolverhampton undoubtedly hopes to find a second wind in this second part of the season. Reducing the gap with 6th place will not be an easy task but the arrival of Yuri Alberto, if it were to be confirmed, could give a significant boost to Wolves’ European ambitions.
