Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has steadfastly denied that Liverpool will entertain any bids for Philippe Coutinho. The Brazilian has been linked with moves to Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain consistently for the last year.

Rumours have suggested that Barcelona are considering a £70m bid this week, in an attempt to placate Neymar, who is attracting interest from PSG. Barca have also courted the signatures of Licas Lima and Paulinho this summer.

But the Reds’ boss says the club are in no mood to negotiate, having tied the player down to a long term contract in January, "Yes, that’s what we can say [that he is not for sale]. But that’s not since this morning or yesterday, I’m not sure if it was different at any time. So, yes.

"I’m not surprised that any club is interested in players, if it is like this. A few people obviously see that Liverpool has a few good players. That’s how it is. But a very important message, maybe – we are not a selling club.

"We believe in working together, we believe in development together. We believe in using the basis. We want to work together, we want to make the next step together and for this we need to stay together. That’s how it is."
