Marquinhos, who"s currently with the Brazilian national team in the United States for the Copa América Centenário, left Corinthians at the age of 18, to join AS Roma on loan. The player said that, despite being very young, he opted to leave because of the project presented by the Italians. He said: “I was a very young boy who had just won the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior. The moment was delicate in the career of a player and everyone had a lot of calmness with me during this transition. It all happened when a proposal from Roma arrived.
