Brazilian-born Italian national team midfielder Jorginho has talked about his decision to join Napoli in 2014, and how he’s enjoying the life in the city.
Earlier this year he was a reserve, but then managed to win over his place, displacing Mirko Valdifiori. Napoli midfielder Jorginho gave an interview to Napoli’s Youtube channel in which he talked about several things. Jorginho stated that, as a person he has always seen former FIFA World Player of the Year, Kaká, as an example, and also cited Andrea Pirlo and Xavi as role-models.
Jorginho said: “At Napoli, I said yes right away because it was my dream to make the leap and I had worked so hard for that. I remember the day of my debut with this shirt, the stadium was full and there was my sister in the stands. The people are very warm as in Brazil, and my family is well. They try to enjoy the city, taking advantage of the free days.”
He added: “When I was a child, as a person I always saw Kaká as an example. As a player, I’ve always looked carefully at Pirlo and Xavi, who are two role-models for me.”
