According to UOL Esporte, Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr exchanged documents with the Corinthians board, and the contract to be signed at the weekend has been prepared. Marquinhos Gabriel, who also had a similar proposal from Corinthians’ rivals Santos, opted for the 2015 Brasileirão champions, and the agreement with his new club will be valid for four years. With guarantees of Caixa Econômica Federal, the group which renewed the sponsorship agreement this week, Corinthians are taking a loan with Banco BMG to buy Marquinhos for €2.6 million. The transaction was executed by the player’s lawyer, Rafael Botelho, accompanying the final procedures of the negotiation in Saudi Arabia. Al-Nassr are convinced of his sale and waits for the arrival of payment from Corinthians within Monday to sign all documentation. However, there are already drafts signed by the parties to ensure the effectiveness of the business. Marquinhos did not choose Santos because the best sports project presented was by Corinthians, who are also participating in the Copa Libertadores this season.
