PSG"s Brazilian winger Lucas Moura couldn"t be more happier with the life he leads in Paris.
Lucas came to the French capital four years ago, and the former São Paulo man will play for the fourth time in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday. Lucas states that he made the right choice in opting for PSG, by snubbing Premier League giants Manchester United. According to Lucas, former player Leonardo, who was the director of football of the French club at the time, was directly responsible for his arrival for a massive fee of €45 million.
Lucas told Telegraph: “I was very close to joining Manchester United. It nearly happened but, at the last minute, Leonardo [then PSG director] called me and spoke to me and my parents. It was a very difficult moment because suddenly I had to make a choice when I thought I was joining Manchester United. I thought about it a lot; I talked about it with my family and I made my choice. Football is like that. You have to choose a team."
