Brazilian full-back Dani Alves decided to protest against reports claiming Barcelona players messed up the locker room at Getafe on Halloween.
Pictures showing a messed up locker room at Getafe’s Coliseum Alfonso Pérez had emerged along with reports claiming a disrespectful behaviour from Barça players. Barça had released an official statement to apologize for their players interrupting Víctor Rodríguez’ post-match press conference dressed in Halloween outfits. Alves said: “We did not make the locker rooms dirty like that. Someone has messed it up and said it was us.”
When asked about the club’s injury issues, Alves added: “It’s wear and tear after a long time competing at a high level. It’s happening in football, not only at Barça or Real Madrid. It’s an example that we are human, not machines. So many years competing takes its toll.”
