According to reports in Spain, the name of the Brazilian striker is part of a list of possible reinforcements and pleases the technical secretary of the team, Robert Fernández.
Barcelona are looking for a backup to their brilliant offensive rident formed by South American stars Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez and Neymar. As reported by SPORT, Barça seeks a relatively young forward with a low salary  [considering their standards] who would accept to be a reserve for the club"s superstar trio, and is not a promising talent. Alexandre Pato fits this profile. Pato is currently on loan at São Paulo from Corinthians and is contracted until the end of the season. Pato had received a proposal from Manchester United on deadline day last summer, but negotiations did not progress. Corinthians tried to sell him to Europe in the last window, but coach Tite recently said that he would like to count on the striker for the 2016 season. Pato, who expressed his desire to stay at São Paulo in August, also confirmed that he could return in 2016 and met with Corinthians director Andrés Sánchez.
