Brasileirão leaders Corinthians are willing to reward Renato Augusto, seen by many as the best player in the league this year, with an improved contract.
According to UOL Esporte, Corinthians want to reach an agreement and the board should start negotiations with the player who currently has a contract until the end of next year. The intention of Renato Augusto is to extend the contract and Corinthians are expected to propose a deal until 2019. The report reckons that he will also be offered a wage increase of approximately 10% to 20% which should make him the club’s highest paid player along with Elias. Renato recently told Kicker: “Today I can still play at a high level. Need to have the gas and shape to play in Germany, and I see I have it. It will depend on getting some good proposal. The Bundesliga and the English Premier League are the most interesting.”
