Marcelo and his team mates will have to overcome a 2-1 deficit in the Bernebeu as Juventus nudged ahead in the race for the Champions League final.

Real Madrid are aiming to become the first club in Champions League history to defend the trophy and they looked in great shape at half time as the score in Turin was locked at 1-1.

Alvaro Morata opened the scoring for Juventus but Christiano Ronaldo equalised with a simple header. Real finished the half strongly with Marcelo beginning to cause problems with his surging runs on the left.

But Juventus turned the tide in the second half and regained the lead with a penalty from Carlos Tevez. The game finished 2-1 and the second leg of the semi final will be played on Wednesday next week.
