It is believed Grêmio will confirm the signing of defender Frickson Erazo in the next few days after the player was offered to the club on loan.
26 year old Erazo’s parent club is Bracelona SC in Ecuador but the player most recently played for Flamengo on loan last year. Strong performances in the World Cup for Ecuador have fuelled the believe that he can replace the injured Pedro Geromel for Grêmio.
It is believed Grêmio manager Scolari has stated his desire to sign Erazo but club president Romildo Bolzan said that nothing is confirmed.
“Erazo was offered and we are evaluating. He is a player of 1.90 m, left footed and is an Ecuador international. Grêmio will consider, but there’s nothing closed.”
