Cruzeiro have reportedly agreed to pay more than half of Leandro Damião’s monthly salary and a deal can be reached by Monday.
According to Lancenet!, Cruzeiro want Damião on a one year loan deal and would pay €122,000 of his €198,000 monthly salary. It is now expected that Santos’ new management, who were demanding things unlike the previous president Odílio, would accept the offer and the transfer can be completed by Monday.
Earlier, Cruzeiro director Alexandre Mattos had revealed that there was an agreement in place with Odílio for Damião, but the arrival of new president Modesto Roma made things complicated, which resulted in Cruzeiro raising their offer.
