Corinthians president Mario Gobbi has revealed that the club have an agreement to sign Cristian Baroni when the transfer window opens in January.
The defensive midfielder had his Fenerbahce contract terminated back in August and would be available on a free transfer.
Speaking to Lancenet, Gobbi explained that the club agreed to sign Cristian should he leave the Turkish side.
The Corinthians chief said: ‘There is a commitment between me and Cristian that if he becomes available in Turkey, he will return to Corinthians.’
The 31-year-old played for the Brazilian side from 2008-2009 before he moved to Fenerbahce.
