Providing that the Neymar overcomes his recent dip in form, the Brazil legend thinks that he can become a legend of the game.

The youngster has failed to score for Barcelona since mid-February with many putting his poor form down to the controversy surrounding the details of his move to the Nou Camp.

Former star and current politician Romário has taken to Twitter to offer is support and insists his recent struggles on the pitch are nothing more than a minor blip suffered by even the greatest of players.

“In my opinion, every player has good and bad phases, it’s not only the case with Neymar.”

“I would give him this advice: have attitude and always leave personal problems off the field,” said the 48-year-old.

Romário scored over 300 goals in nearly 450 appearances in his professional career and has called on the 22-year-old to learn from his Blaugrana team-mate Lionel Messi.

“Currently, he plays alongside one of the world’s best and can learn a lot from him. I was “the Messi” of my era, other players would have liked to have learnt from me.”

“I’m sure Neymar will go much further in his career and he’ll give joys to the Brazilian fans.”
