The Brazilian defender was delighted with the Europa League win and sees it as crucial in their fight for a place in the next round.
Dnipro beat Tottenham 1-0 on Thursday but Douglas expects a much more difficult task in the return-leg in London next week.
“It was a good game and great result. We knew that it would be a tough game as they have so much quality but we were really disciplined. We knew what we had to do and got the result we needed to give us a chance in the second-leg,” he said.
“They have a lot of quality and the next game will be very difficult if the likes of Adebayor and Walker play.”
