Report: Internazionale owner Erick Thohir will target Leonardo to replace outgoing technical director Marco Branca
Internazionale owner Erick Thohir is reportedly considering Leonardo as a possible replacement for outgoing technical director Marco Branca.
Thohir has grown frustrated with Branca’s transfer dealings and removed the former Middlesbrough player from his role last week.
Pietro Ausilio, Inter’s sporting director, has taken over Branca’s role for the moment, but it is believed Thohir is looking to bring in a direct replacement.
According to Quotidiano Sportivo, amongst his preferred candidates is former Nerazzurri Head Coach Leonardo. The Brazilian recently left a similar role at Paris Saint-Germain and has been out of work since.
As well as Leonardo, Roma’s Walter Sabatini and Atalanta director Pierpaolo Marino are believed to be under consideration.
