Internazionale Head Coach Walter Mazzarri expects Hernanes to get better with more game time after making his debut in the Nerazzurri’s 1-0 win against Sassuolo.
The Brazil international, capped 23 times, played the whole 90 minutes and assisted Walter Samuel for the only of the game, as Inter secured their first victory of 2014.
Speaking after the match, Mazzarri admitted he was pleased with Hernanes’ performance, though admits the midfielder needs more match fitness.
“Both Hernanes and Fredy Guarin did well, though clearly they need to improve their fitness levels and can only get that with regular playing,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “You could tell Hernanes felt the tension of his debut.”
