The Brazilian midfielder salvages a point for his side on return from injury.

Tottenham had to come from behind against Hull City in Saturday’s Premier League clash after Shane Long had opened the scoring for the home side on his debut.

The form book pointed decisively to a Spurs win, with Sherwood having won three in a row on the road while Hull were goalless and pointless throughout January. Shane Long had other ideas though, and he finished emphatically after good work from strike-partner Nikica Jelavic.

Spurs improved in the second half and Paulinho’s powerful strike on 61 minutes was the least that the away side deserved.

Spurs deserved to go in behind at the break but, after Paulinho’s powerful 61st-minute strike drew them level, were good value for a share of the spoils.
